hi, i'm janine...
Photographer in Bern, Switzerland and abroad

...the soul behind, Moonstories Photography.
I am truly delighted that your path has led you here.
It's nice that you're here and interested in me and my work.
For me, photography is more than just a craft. It's a language that helps us understand the moments that are often overlooked in everyday life. I believe in the power of quiet, authentic moments – the small, subtle details that often only happen in the background but say everything. As a photographer, I accompany you through these moments, capturing the stories you share. It's not just about the picture, but about what it tells: the love, the laughter, the closeness, the life.
I don't work from a script. My photography isn't staged or planned—it's created in the moment. You don't have to be perfect or pretend. What matters to me is what makes you unique, what connects you. My images reflect reality—not an idealized version of it.
It's important to me that you feel safe in front of my camera. That you can open up, that you don't have to prepare for anything, but simply let the moment and the people you share it with speak for themselves. Because real, honest images are created where you can stay true to yourself.
For me, every shoot is a journey of discovery—a new story waiting to be told. I look forward to getting to know you and capturing your story in pictures.

- SINCE 2018 -

- In love with the small
things of life -
How would I describe myself?
Happy, curious, sometimes a bit chaotic—and always looking for genuine encounters. I love deep conversations that create connections and am fascinated by people and cultures, especially when traveling. The sea is a haven of peace for me. It calms me down and reminds me to simply be.
By my side is Simon, my partner and greatest supporter. He believes in me and has my back – especially when there's a lot going on.
I like trying new things, sometimes getting lost in creative ideas—and then finding my focus again in music. Folk, indie, hip-hop—depending on my mood. And while I spend hours editing photos, Luna & Lui, our two Birman cats, are almost always nearby. They're my little, fluffy everyday heroes.
